Welcome to West Lakes GP Training Programme
The General Practice Training Programme provides high quality training in General Practice in an extremely attractive area bordering the English Lake District. We recognise the importance of a balance between a sound academic education and an enjoyable quality of life. The programme is ideal for those wishing to combine high quality GP training with the opportunity to enjoy activities in the nearby Lake District and coast.
Our programme was established in 1977 and has continued to maintain a high standard of training in hospital posts and a variety of Training Practices. It is our aim to produce competent and caring GPs, provide flexible caring and responsive training, and to develop self awareness and life-long learning in our Registrars.
We are able to offer a 3 year training programme starting in the August incorporating hospital and General Practice experience.
